Weight bridge Operator

Matar Al Baqmi Holding Company, a leader in various industrial sectors since 1977, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weight Bridge Operator. As an essential part of our logistics and operations team, the Weight Bridge Operator will be responsible for monitoring and managing the weight measurement processes for vehicles and materials entering and exiting our facilities. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining accurate records for quality control and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the weight bridge to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles and materials.
• Ensure that all vehicles are correctly positioned on the scale and record weight measurements promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of weight measurements, including date, time, vehicle identification, and material type.
• Coordinate with drivers and logistics personnel to assist in the loading and unloading process.
• Monitor and report any discrepancies or irregularities in weight measurements to the relevant authorities.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on the weight bridge equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations related to weight measurement operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to drivers and other personnel using the scale.
• Assist in generating reports for management as required, highlighting trends and discrepancies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training is a plus.
• Previous experience as a Weight Bridge Operator or in a similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
• Ability to operate weight bridge equipment and software effectively.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures is desirable.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
