Job Role
The Lab Chemist is responsible for conducting chemical analyses, experiments, and quality control tests to support product development, process enhancement, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient laboratory operations while providing technical expertise to interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement of laboratory and production processes.
Accountabilities
- Perform daily quality control activities, including testing, sample preparation, and positive release of products.
- Conduct chemical analyses and interpret laboratory test results.
- Set up, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Document all laboratory activities, test results, and observations accurately.
- Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Prepare and submit technical reports and findings.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety rules, and quality standards.
- Support implementation of quality assurance protocols and compliance procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting laboratory or process issues when required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a relevant scientific field.
- Strong knowledge of chemistry, laboratory techniques, and analytical methods.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory or manufacturing environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in testing and documentation.
- Effective communication skills across various levels of the organization.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain compliance.
