Paralegal (Class Actions)

Our Class Actions practice area is the largest in Australia and we are leaders in the field. We have recovered more than $5 billion for groups, individuals, shareholders and businesses that have suffered loss due to illegal behaviour by large corporations. We are the only Australian class actions firm to deliver $100 million+ settlements in multiple shareholder and listed securities class actions, which we have done on 11 occasions. An opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our Brisbane Class Actions team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role, however, we will consider a part time arrangement for the right candidate. The role will involve working with a team of senior lawyers on high-profile class actions. This will be an exciting opportunity for a high performing individual seeking to join Australia’s leading class actions practice. The successful candidate will possess excellent legal research skills, strong attention to detail, effective communications skills and a commitment to social justice.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake legal research
• Assist with discovery tasks
• Assist in managing communications with clients
• Drafting correspondence and preparing court documents
• Preparing briefs for counsel
• Assist lawyers with the conduct of cases
• Participate in Class Actions events/activities where appropriate
