As we strengthen our presence in the Bulgarian market, we are seeking a Business Development Associate with strong understanding of software solutions, digital technologies, and proven B2B enterprise sales experience.
Role Overview
The Business Development Associate will drive revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and promoting Mellon's portfolio of software, hardware, and technology-driven services.
This role requires a sales professional who can combine commercial acumen with technological understanding, working closely with local and regional technical teams to deliver high-impact solutions for enterprise clients in banking, telecom, utilities, and related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within target sectors (Banking, Telecom, Utilities, Enterprise).
- Maintain and expand the company’s customer portfolio, driving both new deals and growth within existing accounts.
- Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progression from prospecting to closing.
- Take ownership of the territory sales plan, sales strategy, and defined revenue targets.
- Work with local and regional resources to present the most relevant software and hardware solutions to clients.
- Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technology-driven proposals to decision makers and key stakeholders.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment between customer needs and Mellon's capabilities.
- Prepare and customize commercial proposals, RFP responses, and solution presentations.
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify emerging opportunities and evolving customer needs.
- Maintain accurate account information, opportunities, and reporting in CRM/ERP systems, demonstrating operational and sales excellence.
- Stay informed about industry trends, digital transformation priorities, and new technologies relevant to the Bulgarian market.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience in Hi-Tech, Payments, Software Solutions, or related technology-driven sectors.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software, digital solutions, and technology adoption in banking and telecom environments.
- Proven ability to analyze business needs and articulate how Mellon's solutions create business value.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Highly driven, results-oriented, able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
