Short-Term Operations Intern

As a Short-Term Operations Intern, you will support the day-to-day analytical and operational activities of the short-term gas and power portfolio. You will work closely with the Short-Term Operations and Trading teams, contributing to forecasting, optimization, and reporting processes that directly impact market operations, balancing costs, and portfolio efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop short-term forecasts of gas and electricity demand for various customer segments
• Produce short-term renewable generation forecasts, including wind and solar.
• Build and maintain optimization tools for renewable production profiles and energy storage operation.
• Support the calculation of balancing charges and related financial exposures.
• Prepare performance reports on short-term trading and balancing efficiency.
• Collaborate with traders, dispatchers, and analysts to support decision-making in intraday and day-ahead operations.
• Improve existing analytical workflows and contribute to automation initiatives.
