Who we are:
We Are Modernizing Medicine (WAMM)! We’re a team of bright, passionate, and positive problem-solvers on a mission to place doctors and patients at the center of care through an intelligent, specialty-specific cloud platform. Our vision is a world where the software we build increases medical practice success and improves patient outcomes. Founded in 2010 by Daniel Cane and Dr. Michael Sherling, we have grown to over 3400 combined direct and contingent team members serving eleven specialties, and we are just getting started! ModMed's global headquarters is based in Boca Raton, FL, with a growing office in Hyderabad, India, and a robust remote workforce across the US, Chile, and Germany.
ModMed is seeking a highly skilled and automation-focused Sr. Endpoints Engineer to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing Corporate IT team. This critical role will be instrumental in managing, automating, and securing the global endpoint environment, ensuring a seamless, high-performance, and compliant experience for our rapidly growing workforce.
Your Role:
- Endpoint Fleet Management & Automation: Architect, manage, and automate our diverse fleet of end-user devices (Apple and Windows environments) using modern declarative configuration management and Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP).
- System Integration & Orchestration: Manage and integrate core systems (MDM/UEM, Identity Providers, Orchestration platforms) using REST APIs to create end-to-end automated workflows for the entire device lifecycle (onboarding, maintenance, and de-provisioning).
- Security & Compliance Champion: Implement and enforce a strong Zero Trust security posture across all endpoints. Ensure systems are compliant with stringent industry regulations, including HIPAA and PCI DSS.
- Cloud-Native & Hybrid Environment Management: Manage the intersection of on-premise, cloud environments, and networking as they relate to endpoint connectivity and delivery of services.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively research, test, and deploy new features and security updates to keep our environment cutting-edge, efficient, and secure.
- Enablement & Documentation: Serve as a subject matter expert, communicating complex changes, providing high-level training to IT Support staff, and developing best-in-class self-service and knowledge base documentation.
- Operational Excellence: Participate in the on-call rotation and occasionally work outside of standard business hours to support high-impact operational needs and maintenance windows.
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of demonstrable, hands-on experience actively managing large-scale, geographically dispersed endpoint fleets.
- Endpoint Management Expertise: Advanced, practical knowledge of leading MDM/UEM and configuration management tools at scale. Experience with a mix of: JAMF Pro, Mosyle, Microsoft Intune, Google Endpoint Management, SaltStack, Chef, Ansible and related.
- Advanced Engineering Skills:
- Expert-level scripting proficiency in languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs for integrating SaaS systems.
- Practical experience applying CI/CD principles (e.g., Git/GitHub/GitLab) to configuration and infrastructure changes (Infrastructure as Code).
- Security Focus: A strong understanding of modern security principles, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), disk encryption, and implementing least-privilege access.
- Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
