Job Overview

Dishroom Associates are responsible for cleaning dishes and kitchen equipment by hand washing at a sink, spraying large equipment with a high pressure hose, or running the dish machine.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

  • Wash large volumes of dishes, pots, pans, and utensils by hand
  • Clean cooking equipment, rolling bread racks, and push carts as needed
  • Monitor that the sanitizing fluid maintains the correct PPM
  • Inspect dishes for cleanliness before moving to the inspection area
  • Ensure control of all chemical identification
  • Monitor chemical usage on the chart in the chemical cage area
  • Understand internal customer needs and work to meet those needs
  • Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards including food sanitation (GMP) guidelines

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
  • Shifts can include weekends and holidays and/or overtime as required
  • Have a strong service orientation
  • Be a team player, including the ability to communicate well with others
  • Read and process detailed written orders
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Pass a post offer drug screen and background check
  • Ability to understand and differentiate the uses of cleaning chemicals

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Dishwashing or sanitation experience in an industrial setting

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
  • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Able to perform repetitive movements
  • Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
