Honda of Downtown Chicago, part of the prestigious Murgado Automotive Group, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our Parts Department operations. Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving: Manage incoming and outgoing shipments of automotive parts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Inventory Organization: Unpack, label, and stock parts in the designated areas to maintain an organized inventory.
Order Fulfillment: Assist in picking parts for service and retail customers.
Quality Assurance: Verify shipments against invoices or packing slips to ensure correct orders are received.
Damage Control: Inspect deliveries for damages or discrepancies and report as needed.
Customer & Team Support: Collaborate with team members to meet customer and service department needs efficiently.
Workplace Maintenance: Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, safe, and well-organized.
Qualifications:
Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or parts handling is a plus but not required.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed records.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
Team-Oriented: Works well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
Automotive Knowledge (Preferred): Basic understanding of automotive parts is a bonus.
Ability to work the following days/times: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday
