As a Health Insurance Sales Consultant, you will help prospective customers make informed decisions by understanding their needs, addressing questions clearly, and recommending suitable cover. You combine strong product knowledge with empathy to present tailored options and appropriate cross‑sell where relevant. The role is fast‑paced and customer‑centred, contributing directly to our benefits offering and to the continuous improvement of the health insurance experience.
Role responsibilities
- Educate prospects and convert inbound opportunities through thorough needs analysis, tailoring health insurance solutions to customer circumstances.
- Manage the end‑to‑end sales process from quote to close, including financial suitability checks and policy enrollment, to reliably convert leads into sales.
- Handle objections confidently and guide customers through product options and suitability while delivering consistently exceptional service.
- Drive effective cross‑sell and upsell of complementary products to maximise customer value and satisfaction.
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline in the CRM, ensuring data integrity, accurate forecasting, and completion of sales activities against agreed KPIs.
- Champion a customer‑first approach at all times, creating a seamless and positive buying experience.
- Complete required product, compliance, and skills training; consistently achieve ≥90% compliance across call handling, sales consultation, and fund requirements while contributing positively to team culture and feedback loops.
Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience in health insurance or health‑related sales with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated strength in cross‑selling and presenting tailored solutions that convert.
- Consistent top sales performance with strong verbal and written communication and service skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant financial services and health insurance legislation and compliance requirements; tertiary qualifications preferred.
- Proven ability to build rapport quickly and engage effectively with a wide range of prospective customers.
- Experience managing high‑volume lead pipelines using CRM tools, with competence in Microsoft 365; comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, dynamic sales environment.
- High resilience and adaptability, with strong teamwork and a positive, proactive contribution to team discussions, feedback, and culture.
