NAC is currently seeking a full-time Quality Manager, initially based on our Dalewood Water Reclamation Facility project in St. Thomas, ON. Candidates with municipal infrastructure experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Accommodation may be provided to eligible candidates, if required.

 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Project Director, the Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the project’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring all quality-related activities meet contractual, regulatory, and company standards.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Project Director, the Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the project’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring all quality-related activities meet contractual, regulatory, and company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all project quality and contract documentation, including vendor confirmations and commissioning/start-up requirements.
  • Manage and distribute quality-related correspondence between consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders in accordance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure all work aligns with NAC’s quality policies, procedures, and project QC documentation.
  • Coordinate quality inspections with subcontractors and vendors, including non-destructive testing and inspections with client representatives.
  • Oversee material receipt inspections and ensure QA/QC documentation is properly distributed and maintained.
  • Verify that all site activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and coordinate site inspections with QC inspectors.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), including tracking, resolution, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is completed and compiled for project turnover and as-built handover.
  • Monitor and enforce the approved Project Quality Plan and coordinate submission and approval of technical submittals.
  • Work closely with the Construction Manager to address and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Lead and chair weekly QA/QC meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Support project administration by ensuring quality documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters on site.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of NAC’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and ensure compliance on site.

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in a QA/QC coordination or management role.
  • Previous experience on water or wastewater infrastructure projects is a strong asset.
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Quality Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing Project Quality Plans aligned with a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Experience with project commissioning and handover processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook; Access is an asset).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance and control principles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
