Manager of the Health and Well-being Department (for Sport) ensures the development of corporate sports culture at the University by creating a favorable environment for physical activity and team interaction, including the organization and conduct of sports events, compliance with safety and health standards, and the establishment of a motivation system to engage University employees in sports activities.
Responsibilities (tasks, key areas of responsibility and functions):
4.1. Organization and coordination of corporate sports activities of the University:
- Participation in planning and coordination of corporate sports, physical culture and health life of the University;
- Implementation and management of programs aimed at involving employees in regular exercise and maintaining physical activity during the working day;
- Involving employees and members of the University community in physical education and health activities and sports, through planning, organizing and coordinating corporate sports competitions, sections and sports life at the University;
- Support and development of clubs/teams for employees with interests (football, running, swimming, etc.).
4.2. Information and educational work:
- Implementation of a communication plan, development and distribution of information materials (booklets, brochures, newsletters, posters) on corporate sports and healthy lifestyle of employees;
- Conducting outreach, presentations, meetings and sessions on corporate sports issues;
- Increasing employee engagement through the integration of sports and wellness into everyday corporate culture.
4.3. Cooperation and program development:
- Participation in the establishment and development of cooperation with sports organizations, government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad on issues of healthy lifestyle and sports;
- Implementation of long-term programs aimed at improving the physical and mental well-being of employees, such as yoga, meditation, and stress reduction programs;
- Assessing the effectiveness of programs and the impact on employee health through surveys, measurements and other forms of feedback;
- Preparation of reports on the effectiveness of programs and proposals for their improvement.
4.4. Analysis and implementation of policies:
- Analysis, participation in the development and implementation of regulations, policies, rules and recommendations on issues of public health and sanitary and epidemiological well-being;
- Participation in the preparation of proposals to management for the development of sports and physical education in university life.
4.5. Administrative duties:
- Work with incoming correspondence, with requests from structural units, timely submission of responses to letters and appeals from citizens;
- Participation in planning and control of expenses and income, formation of a budget request for the corresponding financial year/s;
- Participation in the processes of identification, assessment, management, and monitoring of risks within the supervised area;
- Timely and high-quality execution of other instructions of the Head and management of the University;
- Compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and internal documents of the University.
