Job Summary

Responsible for supporting all aspects of security operations; uniform security, security projects and events, off-site security personnel, and emergency operations planning and management. Provides leadership and strategic oversight for all security, investigations, and loss prevention functions across Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX). Responsible for uniformed security operations, emergency management, security technology, regulatory compliance, asset protection, and crisis response. Serves as the security advisor to executive leadership and ensures alignment with global UDX security standards and UK regulatory requirements.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manages the supervision, training, and performance as it relates to all aspects of uniformed security, for all business units upon all UK properties or as directed. Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to security management to achieve maximum results and empower the management team to drive and make decisions. Maintains all security policy and procedures. Sets security governance frameworks and risk tolerance thresholds.
  • Develops, implements, and manages automated and technical security systems and equipment designed to monitor, control and safeguard guests and employees, their property and the physical or intellectual assets of the UK Project. Oversees physical security design standards, access control strategy, CCTV strategy, and security infrastructure planning in partnership with technology teams.
  • Directs budgeting process and daily management of budgets, analysing fluctuations in business units and instituting changes/enhancements as necessary. Assists with scheduling, financial reporting, and analysis. Partners across UDX globally to create synergies for company goals and compliance with regulations. Provides leadership and strategic oversight for initiative management, ensuring on-time/on-budget development and implementation. Develops multi-year capital and operating plans aligned to enterprise risk strategy and business objectives.
  • Serves as law enforcement liaison for shared intelligence and coordination of emergency response and planning. Coordinates all off site or contract security requirements for all security operations, including acting as a liaison with vendors and/or multiple teams. Maintains strategic relationships with UK counter-terrorism units, intelligence agencies, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provides support for resort wide emergency management planning and operations. Collaborates with internal teams including Legal, Talent & Culture, Operations, Event, and more to integrate security strategies into day-to-day operations. Leads crisis management exercises and resilience planning.
  • Ensures compliance with all security requirements as set out in the SDO and relevant UK legislation. Continuously evaluates and improves security procedures to align with industry standards and global security trends. Ensures compliance with UK counter-terrorism legislation, Martyn’s Law (Protect Duty), SIA regulations, data protection requirements, and all applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversees investigations and loss prevention functions including internal investigations, external theft/fraud investigations, retail and revenue protection programs, and financial shrink mitigation strategies. Establishes enterprise loss prevention metrics, reporting dashboards, and audit processes.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
