As a Category Manager at NCC, you will take on a dynamic role that operates at both strategic and tactical levels. You will lead to set and implement a future-oriented strategy in collaboration with other business areas that is fully aligned with business strategy and allowing NCC to be seen as a preferred customer by our suppliers.  

 

The role and key responsibilities 

In the role of Category Manager, you work closely with the business and lead category strategies according to NCC’s strategic direction. You will be a central partner in the organization and collaborate with internal teams as well as external suppliers to ensure an efficient, high-quality, and sustainable supplier base. A key part of the role is to act as a change leader across the organization. You will drive transformation, implement new ways of working, and ensure adoption of category strategies in a complex, matrix‑based environment. Success in the role requires the ability to influence, engage, and lead stakeholders without formal line management responsibility.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies that support NCC’s business and long-term goals.
  • Lead the category team and ensure effective execution of strategies and activities.
  • Build and develop strong supplier relationships through Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Analyze market trends, conduct risk assessments, and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure the use of category strategies and framework agreements across the organization.
  • Follow up on KPIs.
