We are seeking a Leading Hand to support our Workshop Manager and Workshop Superintendent by providing leadership and supervision to a skilled team of technicians. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the workshop while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
You will manage MEX work orders, ensuring all maintenance activities are accurately recorded, assigned, tracked, and completed in a timely manner. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership position and is committed to operational excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of technicians, including mentoring and supporting development.
- Maintain fleet equipment to manufacturers' specifications and regulatory requirements, ensuring maximum availability.
- Manage MEX work orders and maintenance tasks efficiently, from logging and scheduling to completion.
- Prioritise and address critical repairs to minimise operational disruptions.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and actively manage incidents or hazards.
- Collaborate with operations to align maintenance priorities and optimise fleet utilisation.
- Conduct on-the-job training and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory data, and documentation.
