Norm Ai is the Compliance AI Platform for legal standards-based reasoning & workflow automation.
We developed the first Domain Specific Language (DSL) for fully representing regulatory requirements in AI code. This DSL, deployed with our enterprise platform, enables Norm clients to transform workflows and apply compliance checks at the source of business activities.
We are setting the norms for compliance processes at the largest institutions in the world. Our client base includes firms with a combined $30 Trillion in AUM, and growing quickly.
Our Software Engineers came from Palantir, Google, Meta, AWS, Harvard, Stanford, and MIT. Our Legal Engineers are from Harvard Law, Stanford Law, Yale Law, Sullivan & Cromwell, Simpson Thacher, Davis Polk, Greenberg Traurig, the SEC, and FINRA.
We have raised $85 million over the past 18 months from top VCs and global institutions, including Vanguard, Blackstone, Bain Capital, Coatue, Craft Ventures, New York Life, Citi, TIAA, and Marc Benioff.
This Role
As an Embedded Attorney at Norm Ai, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services while leveraging cutting-edge AI agents to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scale. You will work closely with our Legal Engineering team to integrate AI-driven workflows into traditional legal practice for our clients, focusing on regulatory law, private funds work, and equity transactions.
In this role, you’ll support:
AI-Enhanced Legal Drafting & Review: Use AI agents to generate, review, and redline transaction documents, agreements, securities filings, disclosure schedules, and client communications.
Due Diligence & Research: Deploy AI agents to perform document review, regulatory checks, and comparative legal analysis across large data sets, accelerating diligence processes in corporate transactions.
Regulatory Workflows: Coordinate with regulatory compliance teams using AI agents to ensure alignment with SEC, CFTC, and FINRA requirements.
Automation & Execution: Work alongside clients to integrate AI tools into various legal workflows.
Collaboration with Tech: Work closely with the internal technology team to continue to optimize our AI-driven compliance solutions.
Skills & Experience
Juris Doctor (JD) with admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
4-7 years of experience in private funds, investment management, or VC or private equity transactions.
Excellent drafting and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to technology-driven workflows.
A strong interest in legal technology, AI, and innovation in professional services.
What Success Looks Like:
30 Days: Learn the firm’s AI platforms and workflows.
60 Days: Independently use AI Agents to review and prepare key transaction documents.
90 Days: Take ownership of substantive transaction workstreams, combining legal expertise with AI to enhance quality, speed, and client services.
Comp and Benefits
$175,000 - $225,000 a year plus equity.
The range displayed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills (as uncovered during the interview process), experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed here reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity or benefits. We offer a competitive salary along with equity compensation.
