About the Role

The Incident Response & Crisis Lead at Nubank is responsible for leading and orchestrating the company’s global response to critical incidents, investigations, and crises that could impact our people, operations, assets, or reputation.

This role ensures that all incidents — from localized disruptions to large-scale crises — are managed with speed, consistency, and transparency, in alignment with Nubank’s Corporate Security, business continuity, and communications standards.

Acting as the operational and strategic bridge between GSOC, Corporate Security leadership, and internal stakeholders, this professional ensures effective coordination, situational awareness, and decision-making under pressure.

  • Oversee and conduct investigations into security, operational, or reputational incidents, ensuring root cause analysis, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely information flow, alignment, and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain global standards, playbooks, and drills for incident and crisis management.
  • Support executive leadership during critical decision-making moments, providing structured situational reports and recommendations.
  • Analyze incident trends to identify systemic risks and propose preventive measures.
  • Supervise GSOC and regional teams during real-time incidents, ensuring accurate prioritization and adherence to escalation protocols.
  • Validate incident reports, ensure clear documentation of actions taken, and follow up on remediation activities.
  • Collaborate with the Metrics & Automation team to track performance indicators (e.g., response time, escalation accuracy, and resolution rates).
  • Promote a culture of resilience, proactivity, and accountability within the Corporate Security organization.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in incident response, crisis management, investigations, or Corporate Security operations, preferably in multinational or high-growth environments.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional crisis responses and managing complex, time-sensitive situations with executive visibility.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills under pressure, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.
