We’re hiring a Product Marketing Specialist to partner with a fast-moving privacy-software and data-governance platform trusted by global enterprises in retail, e-commerce, financial services, media, and technology. This company’s Data Permissioning Platform enables responsible data collection, compliance automation, and AI-driven governance at scale.
In this role, you’ll help translate technical privacy capabilities and regulatory concepts into simple, compelling messages that drive product understanding and differentiation. You’ll support monthly product launches, build messaging frameworks, and shape narratives that help position the company as the leader in privacy compliance and responsible data activation.
If you're a strong writer, analytical thinker, and natural storyteller who thrives in high-velocity product environments, this opportunity is designed for you.
Accountability
As a Product Marketing Specialist, your success will be defined by your ability to transform complex privacy concepts into clear, persona-driven marketing narratives. You’ll own messaging maps, product launch content, and industry-informed story development that supports differentiation in a competitive privacy market.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
Messaging & Positioning
- Build persona-based value propositions and messaging maps.
- Translate technical features and regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, etc.) into simple customer language.
- Shape competitive positioning and evergreen product stories.
- Provide crisp, differentiated messaging for GTM and demand gen teams.
Product Launch Content (40%)
- Produce monthly product launch content: briefs, summaries, email copy, and internal docs.
- Draft external messaging including posts, landing page copy, and press language.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure visual alignment and narrative cohesion.
- Support internal enablement with concise product descriptors.
Industry Research & Narrative Development (20%)
- Monitor privacy-related news, regulatory changes, enforcement trends, and industry developments.
- Identify narrative opportunities tied to market shifts.
- Proactively recommend story angles for content, GTM, and PR.
- Connect research insights to stronger product positioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing, design, demand gen, and enablement teams.
- Deliver content on time for product launches and marketing campaigns.
- Participate in collaborative sessions around product storytelling.
Success Metrics (First 90 Days)
- Deliver a complete messaging map for at least one product area or persona.
- Produce all monthly launch assets consistently and on time.
- Integrate research-led narratives into ongoing marketing.
- Reduce drafting workload for the Head of Marketing through ownership and clarity.
Colleagues
You’ll work closely with the internal and external stakeholders.
At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in this role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.
