About the Role

We’re looking for a backend-focused engineer with a passion for automation and AI to join our team in Nepal. In this role, you’ll build and maintain the systems that connect AI services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure — making Odin’s automation stack scalable, secure, and business-impactful.

This is not a traditional software-development role — you’ll focus on building automation pipelines, API integrations, and AI-driven workflows that power Odin’s marketing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven workflows for SEO, content, and video automation.
• Integrate multiple APIs (Slack, Google Sheets, WordPress, DataForSEO, Claude, OpenAI, HeyGen/Veo3).
• Build workflow orchestration in both serverless (AWS Lambda/EventBridge) and standalone applications.
• Implement workflow state management and persistence using MongoDB.
• Ensure reliability through error handling, logging, and retry logic.
• Build Slack-based approval and notification loops for human-in-the-loop processes.
• Apply secure engineering practices (Zero Trust, token management, IAM roles).
• Partner with marketing teams to align workflows with business needs.

Requirements

Required Experience

• 3+ years of backend development (Python, Node.js, or similar).
• Proven experience building automation pipelines and integrating APIs.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Practical experience with AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
• Comfortable with async programming (asyncio, Node async/await).
• Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, able to explain tech to non-technical teams.

Favorable Experience

• Video automation (HeyGen/Veo3, ffmpeg, Pillow).
• Familiarity with SEO and content marketing workflows.
• Prior experience in MarTech or workflow automation.
• Contributions to open-source automation or AI projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Strong foundation in backend architecture, scalability, and system design.

Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
