About The Role
As a Junior Finance Accountant at Odin Mortgage & Tax, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our financial operations. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Performing full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll data entry, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Manager to document processes and improve workflows.
  • Preparing schedules and documentation to support external audits.
  • Processing vendor setups, managing payment runs, and resolving vendor inquiries.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial management accounts.
  • Performing reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and performing month-end close workflows.
  • Assisting in generation of management reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

Required Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or staff accountant roles.
  • Proven experience in preparing monthly financial management accounts.
  • Strong background in reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
  • Exposure to generating management reports and KPIs.

Favorable Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software (preferable).
  • Experience with tax filing and VAT calculations.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and compliance.
  • Prior involvement in audit preparation and support.
  • Understanding of multi-entity or intercompany accounting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Xero.
  • Proficient with Google Spreadsheets and Excel.
  • Strong reconciliation and journal entry skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.
