Main Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
Define and maintain the target-state architecture for a hybrid Microsoft ecosystem spanning on premises datacenters and Azure.
Oversee and define solution designs for identity, access, storage, and compute.
Develop reference architectures and standards for Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure services and produce high quality architecture artefacts (design diagrams, runbooks).
Hybrid Infrastructure (On Prem & Cloud)
Deploy and optimize Hyper V–based virtualization; manage clusters, host configuration, VM templates, and performance.
Administer VMware virtual machines and optimize Microsoft licensing.
Plan and execute server lifecycle management (capacity planning, patching, image baselines).
Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, policy, RBAC, and tagging.
Define and apply backup and recovery procedures.
Microsoft 365 & Identity
Provide end-to-end administration and operational oversight of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Intune/Endpoint Management, Purview).
Manage Entra ID, conditional access, identity protection, MFA, SSO, privileged identity management (PIM).
Establish device compliance and configuration policies (Intune/Autopilot), application protection, and update rings.
IT Operations & Support
Provide Tier 2 support for incidents and problems; guide root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
Mentor and enable the IT Support team with runbooks, knowledge articles, and training to improve first call resolution.
Participate in calls for tender, and change advisory processes.
Maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, inventories, topology maps, and SOPs.
Establish governance for resource naming, tagging, cost allocation, backup, and data retention.

Carry out other related duties assigned by the NEA IT Systems Manager.
