Position Summary
Responsible for driving business growth in the Industrial Segment through new customer acquisition and application development, while managing select automotive key accounts to ensure business continuity, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth. The role involves technical sales, customer engagement, and end-to-end management from opportunity generation to order closure.
Essential Functions
Business Development – Industrial Segment
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial sectors such as appliances, pharmaceutical, aftermarket fluid systems, agriculture, and general engineering.
- Generate and manage RFQs, conduct technical discussions, and convert opportunities into orders.
- Promote Oetiker clamps and assembly tools by highlighting product performance & reliability.
- Build a strong pipeline of new customers and applications.
Key Account Management – Automotive
- Handle assigned automotive OEM / Tier-1 customers and maintain strong relationships across functions.
- Ensure smooth execution of existing business including order follow-ups, delivery coordination and issue resolution.
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts (new platforms / applications).
- Support product validation, trials, and implementation activities.
Technical Sales & Application Support
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable clamp and tooling solutions.
- Conduct product trials, fitment validation, and operator training at customer locations.
- Coordinate with internal teams for application engineering, product selection, and development activities.
Commercial & Coordination
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers in line with company guidelines.
- Handle pricing discussions and negotiations while maintaining profitability.
- Coordinate with supply chain, quality, and finance teams for smooth order execution and payment follow-ups.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Maintain and update sales pipeline, RFQs, and project status.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and customer visits.
