The Executive Administrative Support Specialist to provide Defense Travel System (DTS) support to government personnel. This role involves assisting users with travel orders, vouchers, and profiles, ensuring compliance with DoD travel regulations, and supporting overall travel program execution. The ideal candidate will provide responsive customer support, maintain data accuracy, and ensure adherence to applicable policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist, advise, and recommend corrections to government personnel on DTS document preparation, submission, and coordination using read-only system access.

  • Support DTS users with creating, correcting, and processing travel orders and vouchers.

  • Assist users in updating DTS personal profiles and resolving system-related issues.

  • Ensure protection of DTS information in accordance with DoD, Air Force regulations, and the Privacy Act.

  • Research Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and applicable policies to resolve travel-related issues and provide guidance to users.

  • Proactively communicate updates to travel policies, statutory changes, and regulatory guidance to the user community.

  • Identify DTS system performance issues and notify the Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) within one hour, including root cause and estimated resolution timeline.

  • Respond to routine travel-related inquiries within 24 hours and urgent/emergency requests within required timelines.

  • Reconcile DTS database with interfacing systems on a monthly basis to ensure data accuracy.

  • Provide in-processing and out-processing support for DTS users in accordance with organizational procedures.

  • Serve as the focal point for Controlled Spend Accounts (CSA), Government Travel Cards (GTC), or equivalent travel payment programs.

  • Assist travelers with GTC/CSA issues, provide training, and coordinate with financial institutions and government offices as needed.

  • Document and report all activities, support actions, and resolutions.
