About the Role

OpenLoop is looking for a Paralegal to join our team remotely or at HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the legal department with research, document preparation, contract management, and compliance initiatives that help ensure operational excellence across the organization. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and counsel to maintain accurate records, streamline processes, and uphold regulatory and contractual requirements.

 

What You'll Do

  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including contracts, amendments, NDAs, and compliance materials.
  • Maintain contract management systems and track key deadlines, renewals, and obligations.
  • Assist with regulatory filings, licensing requirements, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel to gather information and support legal matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field.
  • 3-4+ years of experience working as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, document structure, and research tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
