Senior RegTech Projects Delivery Manager
Job Overview
Optimiza is looking for a Senior RegTech Projects Delivery Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of regulatory technology projects. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise in both project management and regulatory technology will be instrumental in delivering innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Strategic Project Leadership
o Oversee large-scale, impactful RegTech transformation initiatives, ensuring successful completion within defined scope, budget, and regulatory deadlines.
o Convert regulatory requirements into actionable technology and business transformation projects.
o Provide strategic guidance in integrating IT strategies with compliance and regulatory goals.
· Stakeholder & Executive Management
o Serve as a reliable advisor to management and internal committees.
o Influence, manage, and synchronize the interests of various stakeholder groups, including those in Compliance, IT, and external vendors.
o Facilitate discussions at the executive level and secure business support for strategic initiatives.
· Change & Governance Oversight
o Supervise system modifications driven by regulatory and compliance needs across various RegTech platforms.
o Ensure that projects comply with internal governance, risk management, and compliance standards.
o Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting progress to steering committees and executive boards.
· Risk, Budget & Resource Management
o Handle project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations across multiple workstreams.
o Guarantee the quality assurance and audit preparedness of the delivered solutions.
· Mentorship & Team Development
o Encourage knowledge sharing and promote continuous improvement within the project delivery team.
Requirements
- Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (required).
- • A postgraduate degree such as an MBA or MSc in IT, Finance, or Project Management is preferred.
- • Professional certifications including PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, and Agile/Scrum are advantageous, with advanced certifications being a plus.
- Experience:
- Over 8 years of experience in IT project management, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior or lead project management role within the banking or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated proficiency in RegTech, regulatory compliance, risk management systems, AML/KYC platforms, and sanctions screening solutions.
- A solid understanding of contemporary technological applications, including Data Platforms, Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, and Business Intelligence.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering high-value programs that involve multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulatory frameworks and pertinent deadlines (including AML, CFT, GDPR, FATCA, sanctions, etc.).
- Skills & Competencies:
- Outstanding leadership, influencing, and negotiation abilities at the executive level.
- Strong capabilities in governance, finance, and risk management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to present effectively to C-level executives and regulators.
- Capability to navigate ambiguity and promote clarity in complex regulatory environments.
- Proficient in enterprise project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or their equivalents.
