Senior Mendix Developer

Optimiza is seeking a Senior Mendix Developer to join our skilled team focused on low-code application development. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of applications using the Mendix platform, driving digital transformation for our clients. Your expertise will be pivotal in creating efficient, scalable, and innovative solutions that align with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement Mendix applications by utilizing best practices in low-code development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring the delivered solution meets user needs.
• Lead the full development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Mendix applications.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers, ensuring code quality and adherence to standards.
• Integrate external systems and APIs to enhance application capabilities and improve user experience.
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability through best practices and continuous improvements.
• Stay informed of the latest trends and updates in Mendix and low-code development to drive innovation and implement new features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience specifically in Mendix development.
• Strong proficiency in the Mendix platform and its best practices.
• Experience with web and mobile application design, development, and deployment in Mendix.
• Solid understanding of integrated systems, APIs, and database management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile development environments is desirable.
• Mendix certifications are a plus.
