In this role, you’ll:

    Portfolio Management & Retention (80%):

  • Maximize NRR (Net Revenue Retention): Own the renewal cycle, negotiations, and proactive health checks for ScrapingBee’s accounts to mitigate churn.
  • Technical Account Navigation: Act as the primary business and high-level technical point of contact. Understand customer architecture, pain points, competition, data scraping volume needs, and concurrency requirements to suggest optimal plans.
  • Expansion & Upsells: Identify expansion triggers (e.g., a client hitting rate limits or expanding into new data extraction projects) and seamlessly guide them into higher tier, custom, or enterprise plans.
  • Cross-Functional Advocacy: Partner with our Engineering and Product teams to champion customer feature requests.

  • Inbound Sales & Onboarding (20%):

  • Inbound Deal Execution: Qualify, nurture, and close high-value inbound leads (enterprise developers, data scientists, and product managers) who require more than a self-serve plan.
  • Value-Based Selling: Conduct technical discovery calls to understand the prospect’s scraping challenges and demonstrate how ScrapingBee solves their proxy, headless browser, and CAPTCHA problems.
  • Shorten Time-to-Value: Facilitate smooth onboarding for premium clients, ensuring their development teams successfully integrate our API.

Your skills & experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or Technical Sales within a B2B SaaS, API-first, or Developer Tools (DevTools) environment.
  • Understanding how the web works. While you don't need to write production code, you should know what an API, an HTTP status code, a proxy, and a JSON payload are.
  • Proven track record of managing a book of business worth $1M+ ARR, handling complex contract renewals, and navigating procurement/legal reviews.
  • Ability to analyze customer usage metrics (via tools like PowerBI) to spot churn warning signs or upsell opportunities before they happen.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English skills. You can explain complex technical constraints simply and diplomatically.

Nice to have:

  • Basic familiarity with Python, Node.js, or curl commands. (If you’ve ever scraped a website or parsed HTML with BeautifulSoup/Puppeteer, you are ahead of the pack).
  • Prior exposure to the web scraping ecosystem, proxy management, or understanding how anti-bot networks (Cloudflare, Akamai, etc.) operate.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where processes are built rather than just followed.
