Group Financial Accountant - 12 Month FTC

Join our Group Finance Team to play a key role during a busy period, with a focus on group reporting, statutory accounts, consolidation and technical accounting matters, including the application of IFRS. This is a hands-on role for a capable qualified accountant who can bring strong technical expertise, sound judgement and a practical approach to delivery.

The role includes contributing to the monthly group consolidation, including raising consolidation journals, reviewing consolidated numbers, supporting month-end activities, preparing statutory financial statements, variance analysis and commentary, reconciliations, and technical accounting analysis. You will be expected to take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables, seeing them through accurately and opportunities for involvement in integration initiatives.

You will provide clear and timely information to internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and advisors, and will be expected to engage thoughtfully with audit requests to provide considered and complete responses. Strong current IFRS knowledge and research skills will be important in supporting technical accounting matters across the finance function and contributing to notes and support for the group annual report.

With support from the team, you will quickly build an understanding of our finance systems, reporting processes and statutory accounts timetable so that you can take ownership of assigned entities and deliverables from the outset. You will also work across a range of finance priorities as needed, bringing a flexible approach while maintaining high standards of accuracy and control.

Hybrid working - our approach is to be in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week. However, the actual time you spend and where you spend it will vary by role or assignment.
