Role Overview:
Weβre looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Direct Response Marketing Manager to join our team. This is not a brand marketing role β the focus is entirely on direct response and performance marketing: driving measurable customer acquisition, optimizing funnels, and scaling campaigns profitably.
You will not be buying media or writing copy, but you must be able to:
- Review ad accounts, creatives, and campaign performance.
- Understand and quickly learn why specific copy or video changes are being made.
- Communicate insights effectively to creative, media, and agency partners.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in consumer consumables, particularly in areas like subscription optimization and customer retention.
Relevant industries include skincare, supplements, and other recurring-purchase products.

Your responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with external agencies handling paid acquisition and ensure alignment on performance goals.
- Monitor and review ad account performance across channels (Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, Snapchat, emerging platforms).
- Provide clear feedback to creative and copy teams based on campaign data.
- Ensure that copy, video, and funnel updates are consistent with overall direct response strategy.
- Act as the primary link between leadership, agencies, and internal teams to drive performance outcomes.
- Proactively flag issues, spot inconsistencies, and suggest solutions that align with the big picture.
- Support the scaling of new traffic sources and systematize processes for repeatable growth.
Requirements
- 2β3+ years in direct response or growth marketing, ideally with DTC/e-commerce brands in the $10Mβ$50M revenue range.
- Strong grasp of direct response metrics (CAC, LTV, ROAS, MER, CPA, contribution margin).
- Ability to review and understand ad account performance without needing to execute media buying.
- Familiarity with copy and creative best practices β able to recognize what works and why.
- Strong decision-making skills with proven ability to solve problems proactively.
- Experience working cross-functionally with creative teams, agencies, and performance marketing specialists.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to spot incongruencies and think strategically.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
