Automations Specialist

About the role

We are hiring an entry-level Automations Specialist to help support and scale the automation infrastructure behind our iGaming Division. This role sits at the intersection of website operations, domain and DNS management, scripting, API integrations, and AI-assisted automation.

You will work alongside the SEO team to take on technical workflows across our website portfolio, hosting stack, integrations layer, and internal tooling. As the business continues to scale, manual processes and one-off scripts are no longer enough. Your mandate will be to learn quickly, build small reliable automations, and progressively take ownership of repeatable workflows that free up senior capacity for higher-leverage work.

This is a hands-on, entry-level role for someone who is genuinely good with computers, equally comfortable launching websites, reading API documentation, working in a command-line interface, querying basic databases, and using AI-assisted tools to accelerate everyday work.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Build and maintain small automation scripts and workflows under the guidance of a senior team member, growing in scope and complexity over time.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools daily to draft, debug, and improve scripts more efficiently.
• Contribute to a shared library of reusable automations so the team can reapply them across sites and projects.
• Work confidently in a command-line interface for file management, scripting, and version-control operations.
• Use Git as the source of truth for scripts, automation workflows, runbooks, and technical documentation, including clear commit messages and pull request descriptions.
• Help configure VPS, cloud server, and hosting environments under guidance during site setup and migration tasks.
• Help maintain internal tooling, scripts, and supporting infrastructure used by the team day to day.
• Read API documentation and connect platforms via standard interfaces such as REST APIs and webhooks, following examples already established by the team.
• Handle authentication patterns such as API keys and OAuth tokens in line with the team's security standards, with no hard-coded secrets in code or version control.
• Run basic queries against relational and NoSQL databases to support reporting, troubleshooting, and integration tasks.

Requirements:

• 0–2 years of experience in IT, web operations, scripting, automation, or a closely related technical role; recent graduates and career changers with strong personal projects are welcome.
• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent self-taught and practical experience demonstrated through personal projects or a portfolio.
• Working understanding of what APIs are and how platforms communicate, including familiarity with REST, JSON, and webhooks.
• Basic familiarity with relational databases and awareness of NoSQL concepts, including the ability to write simple queries.
• Comfort working in a command-line interface for basic file, system, and version-control operations.
• Prior hands-on experience launching at least one website - personal, academic, or professional — including domain and DNS setup.
• Basic scripting capability in at least one common scripting language, even at a beginner level.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a willingness to take small, calculated risks rather than waiting for perfect instructions.

Nice to Have

• Prior exposure to iGaming, affiliate marketing, or high-volume web operations.
• Hands-on experience with a content management system, DNS provider, CDN, or cloud platform; even at a hobby level.
• Practical use of AI-assisted coding tools or LLM-based development assistants for real tasks.
• Personal projects, public code repositories, or any work that demonstrates curiosity and a track record of building things outside of class or work.
