Senior Full-Stack Engineer (AI-Native)

About the role

The Senior Full-Stack Engineer is a core member of Paradise Media’s AI-native engineering team in Malta. This is not a traditional development role, AI is your primary tool, not an add-on. You will write production code using AI as your default environment, shipping features at 10x the velocity of engineers who code manually. You will build agentic AI systems, LLM-powered automation pipelines, and internal AI tools that allow one engineer to replace the work of entire departments. Paradise Media operates 10+ branded content sites across iGaming, esports, lifestyle, news, and legal verticals. If you aren’t already using AI coding tools every day, this role is not for you.

This is a Malta-office based position on a hybrid model. Only candidates residing and eligible to work in Malta (EU), are to apply.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

AI-First Development

• Write all production code using AI coding tools as the primary development environment, manual coding is the exception, not the rule
• Build and deploy agentic AI systems that autonomously execute multi-step workflows (content production, SEO analysis, data processing)
• Develop LLM-powered features and integrations using Claude API, OpenAI API, and open-source model

AI-Powered Internal Tools & Automation

• Build internal AI tools that automate content production, SEO analysis, affiliate optimisation, and business operations
• Create AI-powered dashboards that generate insights automatically from BigQuery data
• Design self-healing automation with AI-powered error detection, diagnosis, and recovery

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node.js
• Demonstrated daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, OpenClaw, Cursor, GitHub Copilot), non-negotiable, must show portfolio of AI-assisted work
• Experience building applications with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, or equivalent)
• Experience building and deploying production web applications (frontend and backend)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, OAuth2, webhooks, and third-party integrations
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)
• Familiarity with SQL and data pipelines (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar)
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with AI assistance
• Good written and verbal communication in English

Preferred Qualification

• Experience building multi-agent AI systems or AI orchestration pipelines
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar tool-use frameworks
• Experience with RAG systems, vector databases, or embedding pipelines

Candidates who have not actively used Claude Code and OpenClaw will not be considered
