Software Engineer III

Essential Functions

●        Design, develop, test and troubleshoot software across different hardware, database and programming technologies

●        Write clean, maintainable code based on  functional and technical specifications

●        Analyze and improve software performance

●        Create and maintain technical  documentation

●        Collaborate in a multiple developer environment

Requirements

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications and experience:

●        3-5 years of C/C++ programming experience delivering software solutions

●        3-5 years of working with relational databases and writing SQL scripts

●        Experience in Java 8+ development and familiarity with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).

●        Hands-on experience with software patterns and principles

●      Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices

●        Experience programming system based shippable software

●        Expertise building software for *nix based operating systems

●        Expertise with *nix based scripting languages

●        Ability to handle multiple activities/projects in a fast-paced environment

●        Experienced working in Git based source control management (SCM) environments

●        Passion for knowledge and innovation

●        Experience building unit tests and delivering to code quality standards

●        Familiarity with secure development practices (ex: OWASP, SQL Injection, etc)

●        Familiarity with integrated development environments (IDEs) for configuration, build and development

●        Understanding of  REST API, Web Services, TCP/IP, and JSON structures is required

●        A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related fields or equivalent work experience is required.
