Senior Data Analyst within Bir Ecosystem

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Analyst to lead analytical projects and turn complex data into clear insights that drive product, customer, and business decisions. The role involves deep product and market analytics, building data solutions, supporting strategic initiatives, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to translate data into impactful recommendations.

Job description:

• Lead end-to-end analytical projects—from scoping and data exploration to insight generation and presentation to stakeholders.
• Partner with performance teams to define, refine, and monitor key performance indicators supporting strategic goals.
• Conduct analytical assessments of potential growth initiatives and evaluate their strategic contribution.
• Build and implement analytical data solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data platforms.
• Apply advanced statistical methods to test hypotheses, identify patterns, and uncover insights.
• Collaborate with data science teams to review predictive models and interpret ML/AI outputs for business impact.
• Develop and optimize dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to support decision-making.
• Perform deep product analytics including A/B testing, funnel analysis, retention modeling, and user segmentation.
• Gather analytical requirements from leadership and product teams, ensuring relevance and strategic alignment.
• Identify growth opportunities, operational risks, and optimization levers through proactive data analysis.
• Conduct market and competitor research to support strategic decision-making in digital, fintech, and e-commerce domains.
• Mentor junior and mid-level analysts, fostering strong analytical thinking and high-quality coding practices.
• Ensure documentation and reproducibility of analyses using tools such as Confluence, Git, and Jupyter.
• Continuously explore new tools, industry trends, and analytical techniques to enhance the quality and impact of work.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in data analytics or a related field
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets
• Practical experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib)
• Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
• Familiarity with analytical platforms (e.g., Dataiku)
• Knowledge of product analytics metrics and methodologies
• Experience with Git/GitHub, Jupyter, and documentation tools (Confluence, Jira)
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to present insights clearly
• Higher education in a related field (Analytics, Statistics, Economics, IT, etc.)
• Language skills: Azerbaijani, Russian, English
