Overview of the Role:
Pelago is looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, Acquisition to architect, own, and scale our lifecycle growth engine across the member journey, from acquisition through activation, engagement, and retention.
This role sits at the center of our growth strategy. You will design and execute a data-driven lifecycle roadmap that drives measurable improvements in conversion, engagement, and long-term member value. You’ll build and scale a rigorous experimentation engine, with deep hands-on ownership of email as a core channel, while ensuring programs are operationally sound, automated, and built to scale.

This is a hybrid role with a high-collaboration rhythm (3 days/week in our NYC office).
In this role you will:
- Own and evolve Pelago’s lifecycle growth strategy across acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention, translating company goals into a prioritized roadmap tied to conversion, engagement, and LTV.
- Build and scale a rigorous experimentation engine across lifecycle channels, developing clear hypotheses, launching high-impact tests, and embedding learnings into repeatable growth systems.
- Lead end-to-end execution of lifecycle campaigns, including segmentation, journey orchestration, automation, QA, launch, and performance analysis with deep hands-on ownership of email and other key touchpoints.
- Leverage behavioral and engagement data to drive smarter targeting and personalization, partnering closely with Analytics to uncover insights and optimize performance across cohorts.
- Own lifecycle KPIs and reporting, building clear dashboards and measurement frameworks that inform prioritization and drive accountability.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing Ops, Analytics, Customer Success, and Agency teams to ensure operational excellence, data integrity, and scalable execution.
- Continuously evaluate lifecycle technology and emerging AI tools to improve speed, personalization, and overall growth efficiency.
The background we are looking for:
- 6+ years of lifecycle marketing experience with ownership across multiple funnel stages.
- Deep hands-on expertise in email marketing and lifecycle automation.
- Strong experimentation mindset with experience running structured test-and-learn programs.
- Proven ability to own a roadmap and drive measurable business outcomes.
- Experience partnering closely with Marketing Ops and Analytics to build scalable systems.
- Strong data fluency, comfortable working with dashboards, performance metrics, and cohort analysis.
- Experience in health tech, subscription, ecommerce, B2B2C, or similarly complex lifecycle environments preferred.
- Clear ownership mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving growth environment.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to debate ideas constructively.

The provided range reflects our US target salary range for this full-time position, which is part of our broader total compensation package, including incentive bonus program, stock options, comprehensive benefits, and incentive pay applicable to eligible roles. Individual pay within the range will vary based on a variety of factors like role-related experience and education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business factors.
