Job Overview

The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating qualified leads, acquiring new clients, building strategic partnerships, closing deals, and contributing to Shutter Studio’s revenue growth.

The role manages the client lifecycle from the initial enquiry and requirements gathering through proposal, negotiation, closing, execution coordination, and post-event follow-up. The Business Development Executive serves as the main point of contact for assigned clients and ensures a professional experience throughout the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Client Acquisition

  • Research potential clients, industries, partners, and market opportunities.
  • Generate qualified leads through outreach, networking, referrals, and other sales activities.
  • Build and maintain an active sales pipeline.
  • Understand client requirements and recommend suitable Shutter services.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and follow-ups.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and commercial offers.
  • Close deals and achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Build strategic partnerships with potential clients, agencies, venues, suppliers, and other relevant partners.
  • Identify upselling, cross-selling, repeat-business, and client-retention opportunities.

 

Client Lifecycle Management

  • Own assigned client engagements from initial enquiry to completion and post-event follow-up.
  • Act as the main point of contact for prospective and existing clients.
  • Gather, document, and communicate client requirements accurately.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, Creative, Production, and other relevant departments.
  • Monitor project and event progress to ensure alignment with the approved scope and client expectations.
  • Ensure deliverables, reports, materials, and project outputs are properly handed over.
  • Collect client feedback and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships that support retention and loyalty.

Market Research and Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging services.
  • Identify market gaps, new solutions, and business opportunities.
  • Provide management with relevant market insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, client communications, pipeline stages, and project updates.
  • Prepare regular reports covering leads, sales activities, opportunities, closed deals, and performance against targets.
  • Follow company policies, pricing guidelines, workflows, and documentation requirements.
