The organization began its operations in the Philippines in 2013 as a response to the devastation brought by Super Typhoon Yolanda. Ever since then, PIN’s programs in the Philippines have evolved and spread to a variety of sectors, such as sustainable livelihoods, disaster resilience, renewable energy, peace, social cohesion and humanitarian response. 

About the role:

The Protection/MHPSS Officer is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of protection and MHPSS activities, particularly in Davao Oriental.  The role ensures that vulnerable individuals and communities, including survivors of disasters and violence, receive timely, appropriate, and confidential support in line with PIN principles, standards, and policies.

Requirements

Main requirements:

·        A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, or any related field

·        2 to 3 years’ experience in the design and implementation of Protection and/or MHPSS programs, preferably in an emergency setting

·        5 to 7 years’ experience in emergency response mechanism planning and implementation

·        Demonstrable experience in protection case management and developing referral pathways

·        Familiarity with protection standards and frameworks

·        Fluency in English and Filipino languages both verbal and written

·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

·        Salaries are according to People in Need Salary Scale. Candidates will be informed about the salaries in the beginning of the recruitment process
