Digital Expert

About the position

The Digital Expert will develop, maintain and enhance a digital platform capable of aggregating and disseminating climate hazard information. Responsibilities include a review of local and regional systems and technologies, designing data architecture and localized data integration, development of end-user training modules and ensuring user-friendly interfaces and reliable system performance.

Main responsibilities:

• Assess current systems and technology successfully delivering climate hazard warnings.
• Design data flow and platform configuration to ensure a user-friendly interface
• Provide recommendations on appropriate data collection based on platform and data flow design.
• Oversee testing, troubleshooting, and training.
• Perform maintenance to ensure continuous operation.

Requirements

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in website and digital tool development and data integration.
• Previous experience in the development of digital early warning technologies is highly valuable.
• Previous experience in implementing donor-funded projects.
