We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Business Development Consultant to join our team, on a base salary + closing bonus/commission basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our client and partnership base and deepening relationships with existing clients, working closely with senior consultants. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of businesses by identifying new opportunities, conducting market research, and assisting in developing tailored solutions that meet our clients' unique needs. Responsibilities
- Perform market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
- Assist in crafting tailored business proposals that meet client expectations.
- Support senior consultants in client engagement through calls, meetings, and presentations.
- Develop and maintain a database of prospects and client communications.
- Help organise and participate in networking events to promote the company and its services.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns.
- Contribute ideas to improve our services and client offerings.
- Assist in preparing reports on business development activities and outcomes.
- Support the onboarding process of new clients to ensure a smooth transition.
- Perform administrative tasks related to business development, including scheduling meetings and follow-ups.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Some prior experience in business development or sales is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in using Google Admin or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar tools.
- A self-motivated attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the business development field.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Familiarity with CRM software or tools is a plus.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a conducive workspace for remote work.
- A readiness to undertake occasional travel for client meetings or events as required.
