Senior Plumbing Draughtsman

The Opportunity

• We're looking for a highly capable, hands-on Senior Plumbing Draughtsman. This role is open to all nationalities (UAE / Gulf experience preferred).

What you'll do

• Lead preparation and review of detailed plumbing shop drawings, coordinated drawings, riser diagrams, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Perform advanced MEP coordination across plumbing, drainage, firefighting, HVAC, electrical, architectural, structural, and interior design drawings to eliminate clashes.
• Produce accurate isometric views, pipe routing layouts, drainage schematics, and section details for water supply, drainage, hot water, and firefighting systems.
• Develop wall coordination drawings showing plumbing fixtures, piping, valves, pumps, and drainage layouts.
• Prepare and maintain fixture schedules, pipe schedules, valve schedules, and material take-off drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with DEWA regulations, UAE standards, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and Dubai Green Building Regulations.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments, RFIs, site conditions, and authority feedback in a timely manner.
• Mentor and guide junior draughtsmen and CAD operators on plumbing drafting standards, coordination techniques, and software best practices.
• Support plumbing engineers in preparing material submittals, shop drawing packages, and technical documentation for approvals.
• Maintain organized drawing registers, version control, transmittal logs, and document control processes for plumbing discipline.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and use Navisworks / Revit for clash detection and resolution.
• Prepare handover documentation packages including as-built drawings, O&M manual drawings, and test certificate drawings.
• Identify design conflicts early and raise RFIs/RFCs to ensure clash-free construction and smooth project execution.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Plumbing Drafting or related field.
• 6–10 years of MEP drafting experience with strong focus on plumbing & firefighting systems in UAE construction projects (high-rise, commercial, residential, villas preferred).
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP (mandatory); Navisworks knowledge is a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of DEWA standards, UAE plumbing codes, NFPA, BS EN, and Dubai Municipality requirements.
• Proven experience in full plumbing coordination (water supply, drainage, hot water, firefighting) across multiple disciplines.
• Excellent attention to detail, drawing accuracy, and version control discipline.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good English communication (Arabic is a plus).
