Job Overview

The Opportunity

  • We're looking for a highly capable, electrical supervisor. This role is open to all nationalities (UAE / Gulf experience preferred).

What you'll do

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical systems (LV/MV distribution, lighting, power, earthing, ELV, emergency systems).
  • Ensure full compliance of electrical works with DEWA regulations, BS 7671, IEC standards, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and project specifications.
  • Oversee daily site activities, manage electrical teams (foremen, technicians, electricians, helpers), and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and ensure workmanship meets approved shop drawings and material submittals.
  • Supervise electrical testing (insulation resistance, continuity, earth loop impedance, polarity, load testing) and witness commissioning with consultants/authorities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults, system issues, and coordinate quick resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, permit-to-work, arc flash safety) per UAE Labour Law and Civil Defence requirements.
  • Monitor progress against schedule, report delays, and coordinate with planning/project management for recovery actions.
  • Manage snagging, defect rectification, and ensure zero-snag handover of electrical systems.
  • Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and DEWA inspectors for inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, electricians, and helpers on electrical installation standards and safety practices.
  • Maintain daily logs, progress reports, material usage records, and test documentation for MEP handover packages.
  • Support value engineering and cost-control initiatives for electrical scope without compromising quality/safety.
  • Coordinate with other MEP trades (mechanical, plumbing) and disciplines (architectural, structural, ID) for clash-free integration.

Qualifications

  •  Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years hands-on supervisory experience in electrical installations for MEP projects in UAE (high-rise, commercial, residential preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of DEWA regulations, BS 7671, IEC, Dubai Green Building Regulations, and Civil Defence standards.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, SLDs, and using testing equipment (megger, earth tester, clamp meter).
  • Proven leadership & team management skills; ability to supervise large electrical crews.
  • Good understanding of ELV systems (fire alarm, CCTV, BMS, access control) and emergency power (generators, UPS).
  • Excellent English communication (Arabic is a plus).
  • Valid UAE driving license preferred.
