Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Facilities Senior Officer for the Health & Safetydepartment at our Sapes premises.
As a Facilities Senior Officer the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, safety, maintenance, and improvement of all physical facilities and related infrastructure. This includes overseeing the facility status (cleaning, electrical, plumbing), managing vendors and service contracts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and leading facility-related projects.
More particularly:
What you will do:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all activities related to facility.
- Ensure the facilities’ contractors meets health, safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and maintain building systems including cleaning, lighting, security, plumbing, lockers, fire safety, etc.
- Develop and coordinate facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective operation.
- Supervise building facilities external contractors.
- Respond to facility emergencies and service calls in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinate space planning and office moves or renovations.
- Ensure security systems and access controls are fully functional and up-to-date.
- Maintain records / logs of tasks.
- Prepare reports and make recommendations for future facility needs.
- Promote sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives where possible.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Technological educational institution degree (mechanical /electrical /civil engineer)
- 4-6 years of experience in a relevant role

- Ability to prioritize effectively
