Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a QC Planner to join our Quality Control team at our premises in Sapes, Northern Greece.
As a QC Planner, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of laboratory testing activities to support production, release and stability testing. This role ensures that QC operations are aligned with manufacturing schedules and regulatory timelines while maximizing lab efficiency and resource utilization. The QC Planner acts as a key liaison between QC, production, QA, and supply chain teams.

Requirements
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term testing schedules for QC laboratories, including raw material, in-process, finished product, and stability testing
- Coordinate with production planners to align QC testing with manufacturing and batch release and stability timelines
- Monitor sample receipt, prioritization, and distribution to ensure testing deadlines are met
- Track testing status, turnaround times (TAT), and backlog, escalating delays or issues as necessary
- Allocate testing tasks based on analyst availability, workload balancing, and technical capability
- Collaborate with QC supervisors to ensure appropriate resource planning (personnel, equipment, reagents)
- Maintain and update planning tools, dashboards, and KPIs related to lab performance and scheduling
- Coordinate retests, investigations (OOS/OOT), and urgent testing requirements with relevant stakeholders
- Communicate regularly with QA, Regulatory Affairs, Production, and Supply Chain teams regarding testing status and timelines
- Participate in meetings and provide updates on testing progress, challenges, and metrics
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline QC planning, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance testing efficiency.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Minimum a BSc Degree in Chemistry or relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical QC / stability lab environment
- Experience in a GMP or GLP environment
Job-Specific Skills:
- Excellent communication in English language (writing & speaking)
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV, KF, dissolution, etc.)
- In-depth understanding of cGMP
- Proficient in reviewing and troubleshooting analytical data and test methods
- Familiarity with LIMS, Empower, and other laboratory software systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Able to work in rotating shifts
