Job description:
We are looking to hire a Corporate Credit Analyst to join our global research team. Based in London, the successful candidate will focus on covering a number of EM Corporates globally and contribute to the monitoring and analysis of global credit markets with a macro perspective. The successful candidate will:
- Provide bottom-up credit analysis on individual companies within EM with a focus on high-yield issuers. The ideal candidate will be well-versed across sectors and EM regions.
- Provide timely commentary and views on headlines and risk events impacting individual companies and global credit markets.
- Collect and monitor global credit data across EM and DM markets to provide a macro perspective for the asset class.
- Communicate with the team of portfolio managers and contribute to the investment process.
- Participate in global investment team meetings. Give in-depth presentations on individual companies and global credit topics.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues locally and from other international offices.
Required qualities and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- CFA Charterholder preferred, or demonstrated ability to analyse and summarize financial statements.
- 2-5 years of experience as an EM corporate credit analyst, ideally within an investment bank, asset manager, or credit rating agency.
- Strong quantitative analytical skills.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
- Open minded and flexible, with a willingness to work on credit topics beyond individual company analysis.
