Staff AI Engineer
Job Overview
At Picsart, our AI engineering team builds the core systems that power the creative tools used by hundreds of millions worldwide. As a Staff AI Engineer, you’ll lead the design and evolution of our model serving platform—enabling fast, scalable, and reliable deployment of cutting-edge AI models. Your work will shape the foundation of our AI infrastructure and accelerate innovation across teams.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Architect and drive the development of a scalable, cost-efficient model serving platform.
- Lead optimization efforts for deploying machine learning models with high performance and low latency.
- Guide incident response, performance tuning, and reliability strategies to ensure 24/7 model availability.
- Establish secure, automated deployment pipelines and enforce best practices for compliance and observability.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs with FastAPI for model inference.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align serving architecture with evolving model needs.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging tools and frameworks to future-proof our AI infrastructure.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, distributed systems.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering and 3+ years of experience in managing ML models in production environments.
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and scalable system design.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks in production-grade services.
- Strong communication skills and a track record of technical leadership and cross-team collaboration.
Good To Have
- Advanced Python programming expertise.
- Hands-on experience with inference engines like TensorRT, Triton, and Ray.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Exposure to distributed inference and hybrid model serving patterns.
