Pineapple is recruiting for a great new opportunity with our associated company Knightsbridge furniture.

JOB TITLE:          Upholsterer

LOCATION:       Bradford

WORKING HOURS: 7am - 5.15pm, Monday - Thursday. 39 hours

A bit about the role..

As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for upholstering a range of furniture products to the highest standards. Working closely with our upholstery team, you will produce top-quality upholstered pieces, ensuring production schedules are achieved while upholding Knightsbridge Furniture’s reputation for excellence.

This role would suit a practical, hands-on individual with an eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship. You’ll take pride in delivering high-quality work, enjoy working with a variety of materials, and be confident using different tools. A strong team player with a positive work ethic, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced production environment where precision and consistency are essential.

Some of your responsibilities..

  • Upholster furniture with fabric, leather, or vinyl according to specifications.
  • Cut, measure, and fit upholstery materials accurately.
  • Apply padding, webbing, and springs where required.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and industrial sewing machines safely and effectively.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the upholstery and production teams.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
  • Report material shortages, defects, or equipment issues to the Team Leader.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the department.
  • Supporting the wider team with moving furniture around the production area/ warehouse.

Requirements

 

  • Proven experience in upholstery, preferably in furniture manufacturing with a focus on chairs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work with a variety of upholstery materials (fabric, vinyl, leather).
  • Skilled in using upholstery tools and equipment.
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting, manual handling training will be provided.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications.
  • Good problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Able to work to deadlines and production targets.
