We believe collaboration is key, so our remote-first teams and property leaders have biannual in-person get-togethers at various locations across the US.

As a Systems Support Specialist on our Technology Operations team, your mission is to own the successful configuration, deployment, maintenance and support of software solutions within our technology environment, ensuring a frictionless experience for all. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure success in onboarding, setup, and maintenance of various systems. Serving as a partner to our Operations teams across various projects and locations, you will oversee property management software, manage project timelines and provide technical support as needed. 
The successful Systems Support Specialist is a collaborative team player who embodies a can-do attitude and exceptional work ethic, allowing Placemakr to successfully scale our operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up, configure, maintain and become a Subject Matter Expert on (including identifying, troubleshooting and implementing creative solutions) Microsoft technologies, including O365 administration, Apaleo, Breezeway and Hubspot 
  • Assist end users with questions and issues relating to various software platforms utilized at Placemakr. Deliver customer and technical support, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and efficiency in addressing these inquiries and issues 
  • Serve as Placemakr's technology vendor liaison, working with different vendors on WiFi configuration/setup and testing 
  • Project manage and sequence all the above across concurrent property setups. 
  • Assess, recommend, implement, and document software and system changes to facilitate improvements in accuracy and efficiency in information management process 
  • Onboarding and Training: Lead the onboarding process for site and unit build with other departments. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for systems, including user adds, moves and changes. 
  • Quality Assurance: Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during implementation.   
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes and best practices. Create user guides and training materials. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, support, sales, etc.,) to align project goals. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct ongoing software audits. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.  

What it Takes

  • Associate's degree in Computer Networking, Information Systems Technology, Cybersecurity, Programming or related field, or commensurate experience in lieu of a degree. 
  • 2+ years of professional experience related to technology operations, service, troubleshooting, etc. 
  • Experience with software implementation, configuration and/or project management 
  • Experience with hotel, multi-family or property management software, strongly preferred 
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally in writing with various levels of internal and external partners 
  • Proven organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with varying level of complexity concurrently 
  • Excellent independent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • You have a can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
