This role is limited to a minimum of 12 months for a maternity cover. The role is in Germany.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agronomist ( all genders) to join our scientific agriculture and content team in Berlin. In this role you will play a pivotal part in our mission to support farmers by leveraging technology to diagnose and treat crop diseases, manage pests, and optimize crop nutrition. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional departments—including product, data science, and engineering—and have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on global agriculture.
Responsibilities
Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of agronomy, crop science, and plant pathology to support the development of diagnosis algorithms and treatment recommendations for pests, diseases, and crop nutrition.
Field-to-Digital Translation: Apply practical field experience to ensure that our digital solutions are relevant, user-friendly, and effective for smallholder farmers worldwide.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product teams, software developers, and data scientists to integrate agronomic insights into digital tools and ensure a seamless user experience.
Global Context Adaptation: Consider the diverse needs and challenges faced by smallholder farmers in various regions, adapting nutrition and protection solutions to different environmental contexts.
