Full-timeJob Overview
Who is Plenti?
Plenti is a fintech lender, providing faster, fairer loans by leveraging its smart technology. Plenti is a dynamic and innovative business that is growing strongly. By continuing to deliver better customer experiences, Plenti is taking market share from incumbent players in the personal lending, renewable energy, and automotive finance markets.
We are a fast moving and ambitious business that seeks to recruit smart and capable people, who can take ownership of their role to help the business thrive. With over 250 people based in Australia, Plenti is of a size where everyone can make a difference in their role and help us realise our very big ambitions as a team, as we go about building Australia’s best lender.
Plenti is a founder led business that launched in 2014, listed on the ASX since 2020 with annual revenue of over $250 million and a loan portfolio of over $2.5 billion.
About the Role:
Plenti is seeking its first dedicated Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic, cross-functional initiatives across our rapidly scaling business.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can wear multiple hats, and enjoys bringing structure to complex environments. You’ll partner closely with leaders across Product, Technology, Operations, Credit, Risk, Finance, Legal and Sales to scope initiatives, define clear delivery plans, and drive execution through to successful outcomes.
You’ll bring strong project management discipline while remaining pragmatic and adaptable in a fast-moving, product-driven fintech environment. You’ll also act as a trusted subject matter expert in how the business delivers change — introducing structure, improving ways of working, and keeping teams aligned, accountable, and focused on outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Delivery
• Own the planning, execution and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives including technology-enabled change, new product launches, regulatory change, and process improvement
• Define project scope, objectives, success measures and milestones in collaboration with sponsors and key stakeholders
• Proactively identify, manage and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where appropriate
• Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within agreed scope, and aligned to business outcomes and regulatory obligations
Stakeholder Management
• Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration through steering committees, working groups and regular delivery forums
• Communicate clearly and confidently on status, risks, trade-offs and decisions to a range of audiences, including executives, product teams and operational stakeholders
• Balance competing priorities and negotiate realistic but ambitious timelines and deliverables
Ways of Working & Governance
• Define and embed fit-for-purpose project management practices that support speed, quality and accountability
• Introduce structure, governance and cadence into project delivery while remaining flexible to business needs
• Maintain high standards of documentation, decision logging, change control and reporting
• Contribute to continuous improvement of how Plenti scopes, delivers and measures strategic initiatives
• Act as a subject matter expert in project delivery across the business
Change & Implementation
• Partner with impacted teams to ensure operational readiness for change, including processes, training, communications and support models
• Coordinate UAT, go-live activities and early-life support for new initiatives
• Define and track benefits realisation post-implementation
About You:
Essential Experience & Skills
• 5–8+ years’ experience in a Project Manager or similar role delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, lending or a closely related regulated industries

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capability — able to break down complex problems and drive pragmatic outcomes
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiences
Desirable Experience
• Experience working with lending, credit, risk, operations, treasury, compliance or product teams
• Exposure to technology-focused initiatives such as platform migrations, system integrations, digital product development, workflow automation or data initiatives
