Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of agentic AI solutions and automation workflows that encode Portage Point’s financial and operational advisory methodologies into scalable, reliable platforms
• Own end-to-end AI product workstreams from requirements gathering and prototyping through deployment, monitoring and iteration
• Apply AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to drive rapid, high-quality development and establish engineering best practices for the AI Solutions team
• Collaborate with Practice Line Leaders, Delivery Enablement teams and domain experts to translate business requirements into AI-powered product features and workflows
• Manage and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance, code reviews and professional development support
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI tools, LLM platforms and orchestration frameworks, recommending and implementing the most impactful technologies
• Define and enforce AI governance standards including prompt safety, data privacy, bias mitigation and responsible AI practices across all workstreams
• Drive measurable impact by tracking solution performance, adoption metrics and ROI, and iterating based on stakeholder feedback
• Lead internal knowledge sharing sessions, training and documentation efforts to scale AI capability across the firm
• Support business development efforts by contributing to AI-related proposals, client presentations and solution demonstrations
• Support talent acquisition and firm-building initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or a related technical field from a top undergraduate program; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Willing to relocate to or be primarily present in Gurgaon
• Ability to collaborate across global time zones, including US-based teams
• Five to nine years of progressive experience in AI/ML development, software engineering or a related technical discipline; management consulting or professional services experience is a plus
• Proven track record of building and delivering LLM-powered applications, agentic AI solutions and automation workflows at scale
• Expert-level proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and strong development skills in Python or JavaScript
• Deep experience with AI/ML frameworks, APIs and orchestration platforms including tools such as OpenAI, Claude, LangChain, N8N, Zapier or similar
• Strong understanding of data engineering, model evaluation, MLOps and modern software development practices
• Demonstrated ability to embed responsible AI principles, including bias detection, explainability and data privacy, into production AI systems
• Proven ability to manage and mentor junior team members and drive delivery across cross-functional teams
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
• Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
• High attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindset
• Track record of success in high-pressure environments
• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
