The Purpose:

PPRO is seeking a talented Group Accountant to join our Group Accounting headquarters in Munich. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise within a dynamic, international FinTech environment.

You will be a key member of our experienced and supportive team, responsible for the integrity and accuracy of our IFRS Group Financial statements. This role goes beyond routine reporting; you will help shape processes, implement best practices, and collaborate with a skilled global accounting team (Munich, London, Luxembourg, Mexico City, Sao Paulo). Your impact in this role:

  • Contributing to Global Consolidation: You'll be a key player in preparing, documenting, and analysing our consolidated IFRS financial statements, working side-by-side with other experienced professionals. 
  • Improving Our Processes: You'll gain hands-on experience by executing consolidation entries and sharing your fresh perspective to help us improve the efficiency of our financial closing process.
  • Developing Quality Standards: Learn what excellence looks like by helping us design and implement standardized reporting packages and robust quality controls.
  • Deepening Your IFRS Knowledge: Support the technical and procedural implementation of new IFRS requirements and help maintain our global accounting guidelines.
  • Ensure Local Compliance: Support on the preparation of the statutory (HGB) single entity financials of our German Group Entities.
  • Liaise with Experts: Serve as contact for the Group and German subsidiaries financial auditors

What would make you a great fit:

  • Proven Expertise: first professional experience in consolidation or external reporting (IFRS essential, HGB strong advantage) gained within an international company or a large auditing firm. A strong grasp of IFRS is essential, and familiarity with HGB is a significant advantage.
  • Solid foundation: You've successfully completed a business degree (e.g., Bachelor's or ideally Master's) with a focus on accounting and/or auditing, which serves as the theoretical bedrock for your practical skills 
  • Process improvement mindset: you don't just follow procedures; you think about how to make them better. You have an interest in improving consolidation processes and reporting packages. 
  • Language Skills: Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written
  • Proactive and Collaborative:You are an enthusiastic self-starter who can drive topics forward, but you also thrive in a team environment. You have strong communication skills and great attention to detail.
