Preferred Search Group is partnering with a private dental practice in north Spokane to find a Hygiene Coordinator/Receptionist. In this role, your energy and organizational skills will be the heartbeat of our patient experience! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional customer service. Your proactive approach will help streamline appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical record management, creating a welcoming environment that fosters trust and comfort. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional team dedicated to providing top-quality dental care with enthusiasm and efficiency.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:30a-5p

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression
  • Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits
  • Handle patient intake processes, including collecting medical history and updating electronic health records
  • Maintain accurate dental records and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and handle inquiries efficiently
  • Assist with office administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, billing support, and managing medical records in electronic systems
  • Support medical billing processes through knowledge of medical coding, ICD coding, and insurance verification procedures
  • Facilitate communication between patients and dental providers to coordinate care plans and follow-up appointments

Requirements

  • Proven clinic or dental office experience with a strong understanding of dental terminology and office procedures
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills combined with clerical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in typing (including 10-key typing) for efficient data entry
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
